Literature Text

I'm sorry if I'm not here
To greet you when we meet
Hug you when you need one
Kiss you when I want
Love you all the time
Be the friend you need from me

I'm sorry if I'm not here
To eat with
Laugh with
To read with
Console you when you need comfort
Give you a shoulder to cry on

I'm sorry if I'm not here in the morning
To see you when you wake
Hold you in my arms
Stare at your beautiful face

I'm sorry if I'm not here no more
Becase I was blinded by hatred
Overcome by fear
Not knowing that you were here
With me all along...

I'm sorry if I'm not here no more
To see you cry
When you look into my dead eyes

I'm sorry I left you behind ...
Just a poem I made up right now ... it's more or less an apology to all if I ever y'know... so don't criticize suicide, ok? It's nothing to joke about and is hard to deal with a lot of the time!!!

This got my feelings across OK I guess... meh

The good thing about the poem is its many applications. You can have this be about anyone, and by not just someone who has killed themselves, but also someone who has run away, gone to war, etc. If you hanbd't explained at the beginning I may have guessed and not been sure, but the poem has such substance atht people will care and want to know; it draws them in. Very good!
